2nd Earth?

Astronomers say that they may have spotted a second earth being created aproximately 424 light years away from our own. Nasa has used one of it’s space telescopes and has seen a warm dust belt revolving around a star that is only slightly larger than our own sun, they say that they believe that the dust cloud may be clumping together to form this second earth. They claim that the dust belt is located in the middle of the star systems inhabitable zone and at around 10,000,000 years old it is about the right age for it to start forming a rocky planet. I have a few questions to ask of this so called “second Earth” first of all how can a scientist judge the age of a dust cloud 424 light years away? second of all how can they tell that that is the inhabitable zone of that star system? once again it is 424 LIGHT YEARS!!! away. Just for the record a light year is the distance that a ray of light would travel in one year, this system being that far away we would never actually be able to reach it due to scientific laws that place hinderances on how fast an object may travel. I would like to open this post up to peoples opinions on this “second earth”.David

How is this evolution?

Scientists have created a “salamander” robot to help them understand how the “first animals” made the transition from water to land.

Simple changes in electrical stimulation to the robot’s onboard “spinal cord” turned out to cause the transition in locomotion. Low levels of electrical stimulation sent the robot on a slow-stepping walk.

Now after I read that piece of the article I was understandably upset, how is a human scientist tweaking the spinal chord of a MAN MADE robotic impliment supposed to support the theory that fish came out of the water and walked then turned thru several stages and became human? I can personally make no sense of how this supports evolution, so if you can please clear this up for me. David

Evolution Vs. Creation ROUND 1

The evolution/ intelligent design debate has raged for many years but which side is taking the upper hand? So far evolution has been winning out, however just because something has a  following and is accepted doesn’t make it true. I will open this post to debate from both sides of this controversy, I will ask that you do not swear or take the Lords name in vain or i will not post your comment thank you.David
