Mrs. America/World Peace

At every Miss America contest I hear the same thing over and over. “I want world peace”. however as a xian, this is not the most pleasant thing to think about for the rest of the world. In revelation the Lord reveals that there will only be world peace when the Anti-Christ comes and makes a 7 year peace treaty with the middle east. So for this to happen there must be first the rapture, along with an unprecedented loss of life in the world for the part of the tribulation, and lastly all of the unsaved on the earth to be killed. So personaly I hope, that we dont have world peace for a while. !)avid

Partial birth Loophole

Recently a loophole was found in the partial birth abortion ban, that has been held up by supreme court, congress, and president. This loophole is that if the doctors wait until the baby is ready to be born and then take a needle filled with Sodium Phosphate and inject it into the baby’s heart while it is still in the womb then it is not technically a “partial birth abortion”. Lets hear some peoples thoughts on this.David

Abortion

Over the years I have heard several arguments as to why abortion is alright.

It’s just a mass of cells and tissue.

This one is probably the second most common  argument that I have heard, and stating that it is a mass of cells and tissue… wait a minute….. thats what I am :0 ohh snap!

Stating that something can be killed because it is just a mass of cells IS NOT a good argument for abortion, my Dog is a mass of cells but if I wanted someone to abort my dog’s puppies I would have to fight my way thru P.E.T.A. and such to get it approved and by then she would have had her puppies already.

It’s not alive/human.

This is by far the most popular argument for abortion, now if someone says that it is not alive, they are also asserting that it is not human. However I raise the question, what is it? Is it a goldfish? a Lemur?maybe it will be a kitten, I’ve been wanting one of those. I can’t say that I have ever heard a doctor say, “Congratulations ma’m its a German Shepherd.”

These are the two most common arguments for the case of abortion, if you can think up any more then please leave them and I will deal with them as best I can.David

Secular and Sacred

Over my years as a christian I have noticed that a good portion of the christian world has made a separation of two things. The secular life and the Sacred, now im not really sure what part of  doing everything to the glory of God was missed in translation, but christians have mad their lives into two distinct categories, we take activites from our lives and say “well i’ll do this for God, but then I have to go to work” and when we get there we essentially throw our views out the window. Some of the most vicious and bloodthirsty buisinessmen that I have ever seen will show up in church on sunday and say how God is affecting their life, when they wont even let God affect how they do their work, how can we make claims like that if we arent even working to make them right. Now im not saying that im perfect and I do see this in my own life but I am also working hard to make it right.David

Evolution Vs. Creation ROUND 1

The evolution/ intelligent design debate has raged for many years but which side is taking the upper hand? So far evolution has been winning out,however just because something has a  following and is accepted doesn’t make it true. I will open this post to debate from both sides of this controversy, I will ask that you do not swear or take the Lords name in vain or i will not post your comment thank you.David 

Nebraska Senator Sues GOD

No doubt that title caught your eye, and yes Nebraska state senator Ernie Chambers is suing God saying

“(the)defendant directly and proximately has caused, inter alia, fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornados, pestilential plagues…”

Now before you get any ideas the senator isn’t suing God because he feels that God needs to be sued, he is filing the suit because he believes that any lawsuit should be filed no matter how frivolous. I personally disagree with that, because I believe that America’s judges should be able to use discernment to decide which suits should actually be filed and which ones deserve for people to be punched in the mouth for stupidity.David
