I know that I’ve posted this song before but I felt that it was an appropriate song for the event coming up. For those of you who do not know, A friend of mine was killed two years ago after returning from our soccer tournament. His birthday is the 18th of march and it will most likely be a hard time for a large number of people. As his birthday has come closer I have found myself paying more and more attention to the chorus of this song, it has helped me to come to grips with some things and has really helped me with my emotions as Adam’s birthday has gotten closer. So to all of you who know about Adam and are having a hard time with this just remmember. “He was not looking down, he was right here, with you.” I want to ask everyone to pray for the Spencer family as his birthday comes up, thank you. !)avid

This is probably my favorite song by Danen Kane at the time, because it tells of how no matter how much we question God’s presence he is still there beside us. He is going through the pain with us, not from some cushioned throne in heaven looking down at us.

Danen Kane

Danen Kane is an independent christian artist that I found out about a few months back, His songs are incredible, both spiritually moving and musically stirring,and I would most likely rank them up there with Derek Webb.

This song highlights the disregard of the church by christians in todays society, because it seems like we have all but forgotten the importance of the church to Jesus Christ.

I love John Mayers music and I think that this is my favorite song of all time at the moment, and deffinitely my favorite by him. It also has some application to my life, but im not gonna tell you guys why at the moment, perhaps later if it sorts itself out. !)avid

Open up- Dispatch

Aside from the fact of  Dispatch being one of the best Reggae bands that i know of , this song in particular is a good song. Dispatch likes to put actual meaning into their songs rather than just putting words on a peice of paper, this song tells of the governments way of going after criminals it says

 ”you fit the description of a criminal, crosseyed, and we believe that he is you and that is your flaw.”

That essentially makes a fair statement about profiling of criminals in this country you take a person and describe them then go after any person that fits that description. Their song also states their beliefs in life and death the words of the song,

“and this boy he said to me, why do you smile when the ropes around your neck, I said I’ll tell you boy when I get back.”

If you read this and actually think about what statement he is making it says pretty clearly that he is going to be reincarnated. However despite this song having religious differences with me it is still a very good song.
